JAC recently supplied a substantial quantity of various cable types which were used to update and modernise a world-famous London Landmark. We were asked to take on this three year project due to it’s demanding delivery requirements and high standards required by the customer.
In order to meet current standards, this 130 year old building required modern mechanical services it was never initially designed to accommodate. The solution was to house each service (LTHW, CHW, DHWS, CWS, Ventilation etc.) within individual plantrooms throughout the building. JAC supplied ourBEMS contractor with IMO Stag Isolators and 6491B singles for the power supplies and, 2491B singles for the 24V Control Circuits installed within containment. External to the plantrooms, JAC supplied Belden 8723 equivalentLSZH 600V* for temperature, humidity, Co2 and gas sensors, whilst BS5308 Part 1 Type 1 LSZH was installed for air handling unit and radiator valves, 24V control and safety interlocks between BEMS control panels and third party systems.
Over 300 Fan Coil Units were installed within the new office space, JAC supplied Belden 9842 LSZH 600V for the extensive BACnet MS/TP communication network. MODBUS meters and air handling unit inverter BACnet communication networks were also connected to the BEMS using Belden 9841 LSZH 600V Rated and 9842 LSZH 600V Rated cables, whilst the M-BUS meters were connected with Belden 8471 LSZH 600V Rated equivalent.
Due to the High Level of Security surrounding this building, our customer required JAC to commit to specific timed deliveries, using pre-arranged vehicles and drivers, for the duration of the project.
This project was completed on time and on budget and can continue to provide a modern and flexible working environment that will make the most of this Landmark for hundreds of years to come. All our vehicles are FORS registered.
