Tri-Rated cable, also known as BS6231 control panel wire, is a flame retardant cable suitable for high working temperatures of up to 105°C.
Our Tri-Rated cables are known for its flexibility, which is due to the special bespoke grade of PVC compound.
Because of this flexibility, the cable does not retain its shape on the reel (the so-called spring coil effect), which means the engineer can wire up their panels quicker and can also use 100% of the cable, this saves the customer both time and money.
The colour consistency of our Tri-Rated is unrivalled because we use distinct RAL colour coded compounds from one sole master batch supplier. The cable colour never varies from one batch to the next giving colour consistency at all times.
Manufactured to British Standard BS 6231 Type CK and certified to American UL Styles 1015, 1028, 1283 and 1284 and Canadian CSA C22.2 Type TEW.
• Can be used in electrical cabinets, switch control in power switchgear, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear, internal connectors in rectifier equipment, motor starters and controllers, small electrical devices, industrial electrical installations and panel building • Triple rating of this Tri-rated cable means that it can be used in North American & European markets. This results in a leaner and more flexible equipment manufacturing process • Continuously
